GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team highlighted its final home event of the 2024 regular season Saturday afternoon by securing a 25-20, 18-25, 25-15, 25-12 win over Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Westminster in the first match of a tri-match at the Grove City College Arena.
The Wolverines closed the afternoon with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-19 setback against regional power Case Western Reserve (22-4).
Junior
Lila Stonehouse (Hatboro, Pa./Abington) paced Grove City (14-12, 5-4 PAC) in the opener by recording a dozen kills. Sophomore
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) posted 10 kills on 24 attacks and classmate
Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton) chipped in eight kills.
Senior setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 27 assists while junior setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) had 21 assists.
Sophomore
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) served four aces. Wirebaugh tallied three aces.

Kendra Klusch (Alliance, Ohio/Homeschooled) and freshman
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) all had four blocks. Dorst added two blocks. Sophomore libero
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) chalked up two dozen digs while Dorst added 16 digs.
Klusch led Grove City with 12 kills in Saturday's finale against Case Western Reserve. Kerr recorded 16 assists. Klusch led the defense with three blocks while Dorst and Pool both had two blocks. Fisher recorded 15 digs.
Grove City honored Kerr, the team's lone senior, prior to Saturday's matches as part of Senior Day activities. Kerr is a two-year team captain and three-time All-PAC selection. She ranks seventh all-time at Grove City with 2,041 assists. Her 163 aces are No. 2 in program history.
The Wolverines conclude their conference schedule Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Waynesburg University. The top six teams in the conference standings will qualify for the season-ending conference tournament. Grove City is currently tied for fifth place with W&J (5-4), a half-game behind 5-3 Chatham and 5-3 Thiel. Westminster is 4-4 in the conference while Franciscan is 3-5 and mathematically alive for a tournament spot.
