LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team closed out the 2024 season Saturday by taking 13th place at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Championships, hosted by Lock Haven University. The Wolverines finished with 391 team points. Carnegie Mellon won the team title with 39 points while Johns Hopkins took second with 40 points.
Grove City placed a pair of runners in the top 50. Junior
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) led Grove City by finishing 36th overall. Singley completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25 minutes, 33.6 seconds. Classmate
Caleb Hawke (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) finished 48th as he recorded a time of 25:57.9.
Senior
Jonah DeWitt (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) posted a time of 26:57.2, good for 104th place. Junior
Jacob Colbert (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) placed 110th (27:07.1) while junior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) followed in 111th place with a time of 27:07.4.
Freshman
Bayley Herman (Rush, N.Y./Rush Henrietta) took 132nd in a time of 27:31.2. Senior
Ben Raduns (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) rounded out the lineup by taking 134th place in a time of 27:34.3.
Johns Hopkins runner Emmanuel Leblond won the race with a time of 24:12.8. The race featured 218 men.Â
This is Grove City's best regional finish since 2012, when the Wolverines took 12th at the Mideast Championships.Â
