GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Three Grove City College men's soccer players earned First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honors Tuesday night through voting by the league's 11 head men's soccer coaches. Overall, six Grove City players captured All-PAC recognition after the Wolverines went 12-4-3 overall this fall.
Junior goalkeeper
Teddy Almeter (Monroeville, Pa./Serra), junior defender
Camden Thomas (North Lima, Ohio/South Range) and junior midfielder
Aidan Eck (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) all earned First Team status. Sophomore midfielder
Noah Gray (Glen Mills, Pa./The Christian Academy) landed on the conference's Second Team while Honorable Mention All-PAC went to senior midfielder
John-Luc Harbour (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) and sophomore defender
Jake Kimmich (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional).
Almeter started all 19 matches in goal this season and recorded a 0.80 goals-against average, along with seven shutouts. His 0.80 GAA ranks fourth on Grove City's single-season list while his seven shutouts are tied for fifth on the Wolverines' single-season leaderboard.
Almeter ranked second in the conference in goals-against average, third in shutouts and third in save percentage, .795. His 0.88 career goals-against average is No. 2 in program history.
Injuries sidelined Thomas for the first half of the 2024 season but he returned to play in all 10 conference matches. His defensive efforts helped Grove City blank five opponents while yielding only eight total goals. Thomas also scored three goals and added an assist this season.
The versatile Eck played both defender and midfielder during the 2024 season. He posted four goals and an assist while starting all 10 conference matches. Eck finished the season second on the team with six goals and 13 total points. He earned Honorable Mention All-PAC in 2023.
Eck and Thomas also earned All-Tournament honors at the conference tournament.
Gray led Grove City with eight goals and 19 points this season. His three assists tied for second on the squad. He led Grove City with five goals in conference play, including three game-winners. Overall, his four game-winning goals ranked second in the league.
Harbour earned Honorable Mention for the second straight season. He played in all 19 matches this season, starting 17. Harbour posted a pair of goals and two assists. He recorded an assist last Saturday night in the Wolverines' conference tournament title match at Franciscan.
Kimmich moved into the starting lineup this season and made 18 starts at center back. He helped the Wolverines post nine shutouts this year, including five in conference play.
The conference recognized junior midfielder
Matt Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) as a member of its Sportsmanship Team. Herrmann, a three-year starter for the Wolverines, had two goal and two assists in his 19 starts this year.
Grove City finished 7-2-1 in the conference this season. The Wolverines defeated W&J and Geneva in the conference tournament before dropping a 2-1 decision at top-seeded Franciscan in the conference title game last Saturday night.
