WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team dropped a 24-26, 19-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-10 decision Saturday at Washington & Jefferson in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Salvitti Family Gymnasium.
Four Grove City players posted double-digit kill totals, led by a 15-kill outing from sophomore
Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton). Sophomore
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) posted a dozen kills while junior
Bella Costa (Newbury, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) and sophomore
Kendra Klusch (Alliance, Ohio/Homeschooled) both recorded 10 kills.
Senior setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) had 31 assists for the Wolverines (12-11, 3-4) while sophomore
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) tallied 19 assists. Costa, Kerr and sophomore
Julia Fisher all served two aces.
Fisher led the Grove City defense with 26 digs. Costa added 17 digs. Klusch had a team-best two blocks.
Grove City will visit Franciscan at 7 p.m. Wednesday in conference action.
