GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer program honored its eight seniors prior to Saturday afternoon's home match with Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Chatham. When the match started, a number of the younger Wolverines took center stage while helping the Wolverines to a 4-0 Senior Day victory at Don Lyle Field.
Freshmen
Marina Hahn (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) and
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) both recorded a goal and an assist for the Wolverines (9-3-2, 6-0-1 PAC) while sophomores
Emma Dailey (East Brady, Pa./Karns City) and
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) also scored.Â
Stevenson opened the scoring at 34:07 when she recorded her fifth goal of the season. White provided the assist. Five minutes later, Hahn doubled the lead when she scored her fifth goal of 2024. Junior
Annie Vannoy (Waldoboro, Maine/Medomak Valley) assisted the goal at 39:46.Â
Grove City sewed up the win with a pair of second-half goals. Dailey turned a Hahn pass into her third goal of the season at the 68:41 mark. White closed the scoring with an unassisted goal at 75:00.
Each team had six shots on goal. Overall, Grove City owned a 19-10 edge in total shots. Grove City also possessed a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
Senior goalkeeper
Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) earned her 42nd career win by making four saves. She played 78:52 in goal. Sophomore
Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) closed out the shutout by making two saves over the final 11:08 of teh match.Â

Saturday's win keeps Grove City tied for first in the conference with 19 points. Westminster also has a 6-0-1 record, good for 19 points. The teams tied 2-2 eight nights ago at Don Lyle Field. Saint Vincent is 6-1 and has third place with 18 points.Â
The Wolverines will visit Saint Vincent at 7 p.m. Wednesday in conference play.
