GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team remained undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by battling visiting Westminster to a 2-2 draw Friday afternoon at Don Lyle Field.
Grove City (7-3-2, 4-0-1 PAC) trailed 2-1 with three minutes remaining but forged a tie when senior forward
Natalie Merrick (Cranberry Township, Pa./Eden Christian) blasted a shot into the upper right corner for her third goal of the season. Senior
Britta Lagerquist (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) assisted the goal.
Westminster took a 1-0 lead 2:42 into the match on Lydia Ohm's penalty kick goal. Grove City tied the match with 57 seconds left in the half as senior forward
Emma Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) scored on a penalty kick. It is Herrmann's team-leading 14th goal of the season.
Brooke Horvath gave Westminster a 2-1 lead with an unassisted goal at 60:24.
Grove City held a 19-18 edge in shots while Westminster held a 9-7 edge in shots on goal. Westminster (5-5-1, 4-0-1) had three corner kicks and Grove City netted two corner kicks.Â

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped seven shots for Grove City.
The Wolverines will visit Franciscan at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in conference action.
