BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team closed its non-conference schedule Saturday with a 25-17, 25-20, 25-21 setback at Geneva. The teams are both members of the Presidents' Athletic Conference but the match is not part of the teams' 10-match single round-robin schedule, which commences this week.
Freshman
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) led Grove City (14-5) with eight kills. Freshman
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) had five kills. Sophomore setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) recorded 15 assists.
Defensively, senior
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) led Grove City with 11 digs.
Grove City will host Geneva in a conference match Saturday, November 4. That will be the regular season finale. The Wolverines begin their league schedule Wednesday at 7 p.m. against visiting Waynesburg University in the Grove City College Arena.
