GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team opened its Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule Wednesday night by earning a 3-1 victory over visiting Waynesburg at the Grove City College Arena. After dropping the opening set 25-21, Grove City rebounded to take the final three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-6.
Senior
Eloise Sutter (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) paced Grove City (15-5, 1-0 PAC) with 11 kills while senior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) and junior
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) both posted eight kills. Senior
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) and freshman
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) each contributed six kills.
Junior setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 22 assists while sophomore setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) added 13 assists. Fisher served two aces.
DeGraaf led the defense with five blocks while Donnelly delivered three blocks. Fisher, Sutter and freshman
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) all had two blocks. Fisher chalked up a team-leading 21 digs. Senior
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) had 17 digs and Kim added 10 digs.Â
The Wolverines will visit Allegheny for a conference clash Friday at 7 p.m. in Meadville.
