GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision Friday night to visiting Oberlin (5-4-1) in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field. Friday's setback snaps Grove City's four-match unbeaten streak.
Oberlin's Heather Benway opened the scoring at 17:29, then added an insurance goal at 88:23.
Oberlin finished the match with 16 total shots while Grove City (5-4-1) had seven shots. Oberlin also held a 10-3 edge in shots on goal. Oberlin accumulated a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.Â

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped eight shots for the Wolverines.Â
Friday's match marked the first meeting between the programs since 2010.Â
Grove City returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference action Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. when the Wolverines host Thiel at Don Lyle Field.
