NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team had only two corner kicks Wednesday night at Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Westminster. The Wolverines made the second one count.

Senior midfielder Anna Jenkins (Lynchburg, Va./Lynchburg Christian) broke a scoreless tie at 76:19 as her corner kick ended up in the net, vaulting the visiting Wolverines to a 1-0 win over previously-undefeated Westminster.

Jenkins' left-footed strike hit the far post, caromed off the back of a Westminster defender and into the goal for the only score of Wednesday's match. It is Jenkins' first goal of 2023 and her seventh career game-winning goal.

Junior goalkeeper Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) nailed down Grove City's first shutout of the season by making eight saves. It is also Lisman's 26th career victory, giving her sole possession of fifth on Grove City's career wins list.

Westminster (8-1, 2-1 PAC) had 12 total shots while Grove City (5-3-1, 2-0-1 PAC) had 11 shots. Grove City limited Westminster to one corner kick.

Undefeated in its last four matches, Grove City hosts Oberlin at 7 p.m. Friday in non-conference play at Don Lyle Field. That match will help kick off Homecoming Weekend on campus.
