TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball dropped a 25-18, 25-21, 25-22 decision Friday night at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the opening night of the RHIT Tournament at Hulbert Arena.
Senior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) paced Grove City (12-4) with seven kills while seniors
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) and
Eloise Sutter (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) both had five kills.
Junior
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 13 assists from her setter position while sophomore setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) totaled 11 assists. Freshman
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) served two aces.
Four Grove City players recorded double-digit dig totals, led by senior libero
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) with 21. Kim had 19 digs while freshman
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and Kerr each collected a dozen digs.
The Wolverines will play a pair of matches Saturday in Terre Haute. Grove City faces Asbury at 11 a.m., then squares off with Anderson (Ind.) in the finale at 1 p.m.
