GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team scored twice in a 16-minute span of the second half Saturday afternoon in rallying for a 2-1 home win over Susquehanna in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field.
Grove City (3-3) forged a 1-1 tie at 61:22 when junior forward
Emma Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season. Senior midfielder
Anna Jenkins (Lynchburg, Va./Lynchburg Christian) provided the assist on Herrmann's game-tying score.
The Wolverines then surged ahead at 77:17 when junior forward
Britta Lagerquist (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) scored an unassisted goal. It is Lagerquist's second goal of 2023 and her first game-winner of the season.
Susquehanna held a 13-11 edge in total shots and a 9-8 edge in shots on goal. Grove City owned a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.Â

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped eight shots to earn the win in goal.
Grove City will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Wednesday at Chatham. The match will start at 7:30 p.m. in Pittsburgh.
