Grove City, Buffalo State battle to draw

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team battled visiting Buffalo State (3-0-2) to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field.

Grove City (0-2-4) broke through at 17:07 when sophomore midfielder Aidan Eck (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) scored off an assist from senior midfielder Chris DeLucia (Kent, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian). 

Buffalo State forged a 1-1 tie at 30:34 when Manu Prieto scored an unassisted goal.

Grove City outshot the Bengals, 15-14. Each team had five shots on goal. Buffalo State recorded six corner kicks and Grove City netted five corner kicks. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Teddy Almeter (Monroeville, Pa./Serra) recorded four saves in goal.

The Wolverines will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Wednesday at Chatham. Wednesday's match will start at 5 p.m.
