ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team recorded its second shutout of the 2023 season Wednesday night as the Wolverines battled longtime non-conference rival Penn State Behrend to a scoreless draw at Behrend Field.
Grove City (0-2-3) limited Behrend (1-2-2) to five total shots and only three shots on goal during the 90 minutes of play. Grove CIty held a 10-5 edge in total shots, along with a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Wolverines also had nine corner kicks while Behrend had two corners.Â

Teddy Almeter (Monroeville, Pa./Serra) recorded his second shutout of the season by stopping three shots.Â
Twenty-four men saw action for Grove City.
The Wolverines will host Buffalo State at 2 p.m. Saturday in non-conference play. That is Grove City's final tune-up for Presidents' Athletic Conference play, which begins next Wednesday at Chatham.
