GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team outshot visiting Chatham, 43-26, and forced the Cougars to commit 31 turnovers Saturday afternoon. But Chatham scored on six of its first nine shots and pulled out a 14-10 win over the Wolverines in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field.

Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) paced Grove City (5-8, 3-2 PAC) with three goals while junior attack
Lucy Martin (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) scored twice in her season debut. Junior attack

Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana), sophomore attack
Meah Groves (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), sophomore midfielder
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and sophomore attack
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) all added goals for the Wolverines.
Arnold also assisted a pair of goals and Polczynski added one assist.
Grove City trailed 8-4 at halftime but Nazigian's two unassisted goals cut the lead in half with seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. However, Chatham (8-2, 4-1 PAC) closed the period with three consecutive goals.

Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) both recorded four draw controls. Sophomore defender
Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) led Grove City with five ground balls. Polczynski, Wartman and sophomore goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) all collected four ground balls.
Jackson and Wartman both caused three turnovers. Kiggins made five saves.
Grove City finished the game with 17 turnovers. The Wolverines held a 34-19 edge in shots on goal. Chatham goalie Samantha Barrett made 24 saves.
The Wolverines will visit Thiel at 5 p.m. Tuesday in conference action.
