GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse erased an early 3-0 deficit Tuesday afternoon on the way to a 15-13 victory at Thiel in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Alumni Stadium.
Four players accounted for Grove City's 15 goals Tuesday, led by a six-goal outing from senior midfielder
Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest). The Wolverines also received three goals each from junior attack
Madeline Dunda (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley), sophomore midfielder
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and sophomore defender
Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron).
Grove City pulled into a 3-3 tie in the first quarter as Nazigian, Dunda and Polczynski all scored in a four-minute span. Grove City then took a 7-4 lead in second quarter as Dunda scored a tying goal and Nazigian followed with three straight scores.Â
Thiel battled back to tie the game by halftime, 7-7. Wartman and Polczynski scored unassisted goals early in the third quarter to give Grove City the lead for good. Dunda then scored off an assist from sophomore attack
Meah Groves (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) at the 8:01 mark, pushing the lead to 10-7. Polczynski and Nazigian added unassisted tallies that extended Grove City's lead. The Wolverines led 13-9 after three quarters.Â

Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) also recorded assists.Â
Polczynski led the Wolverine defense with five caused turnovers. Dunda, Nazigian and sophomore defender
Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) all caused two turnovers. Each team had 24 turnovers.
Polczynski also led Grove City with six draw controls while Wartman totaled three draw controls. Polczynski collected a team-leading five ground balls. Jackson, Nazigian, Roetering and sophomore defender
Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) all recorded three ground balls.Â
Sophomore
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) made five saves in goal to earn the win. She played the first 44:57. Freshman
Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) played the final three seconds of the third quarter and all of the fourth quarter to close out the win. Gallagher made one save.Â
Grove City outshot Thiel, 31-27.Â
 The Wolverines (6-8, 4-2 PAC) visit Allegheny in conference play Saturday at 3 p.m. in Meadville.
