BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team rallied from an early deficit to pull out a 2-1 victory Friday night at Geneva in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Reeves Field. The victory keeps Grove City (7-4-1, 4-0-1 PAC) atop the conference standings.
Grove City broke a 1-1 tie with 9:29 remaining in the match when junior forward
Emma Herrmann (Hilton, N.J./Paul V. Moore) headed in a rebound that had deflected off of the crossbar. It is Herrmann's team-leading eighth goal of the season, as well has her second game-winning score.Â

Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) recorded the assist on Herrman's game-winner.
Geneva took a 1-0 lead 69 seconds into the match when Saige Musser scored an unassisted goal. However, the Wolverines pulled into a 1-1 tie at 17:28 when junior forward
Natalie Merrick (Cranberry Township, Pa./Eden Christian) scored her first goal of the season. Merrick's goal came after her cross into the box went off the hands of goalkeeper Jade Farnsworth and into the net.
Grove City outshot the Golden Tornadoes, 13-9. Grove City had four shots on goal while Geneva put three shots on goal. The Wolverines doubled up Geneva in corner kicks, 6-3.
Junior goalkeeper
Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped two shots to earn the win. It is Lisman's 28th career victory. She is now tied for fourth all-time in program history with Diana Pragel, who tallied 28 wins from 2005 to 2008.Â
The Wolverines will host Allegheny at 7 p.m. Wednesday in conference play at Don Lyle Field.
