WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Senior forward Hunter Hardin (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Freeport) scored his first game-winning goal of 2023 while a pair of teammates each scored their first collegiate goal Wednesday night to help vault the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 3-0 road victory over Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at John F. Wiley Stadium.

Sophomore midfielder Matt Sampsell (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) and freshman forward Carlo Denis (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) also scored for the Wolverines (5-5-5, 4-3-1 PAC).

Hardin opened the scoring at 21:44 with an unassisted goal, his second score of the season. It is Hardin's eighth career game-winning goal and the 15th overall goal of his career.

Sampsell pushed the lead to 2-0 by scoring an unassisted goal at 38:13. Denis sealed the win at 85:44 by scoring his first collegiate goal.

Grove City outshot Waynesburg, 17-10, including an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal. Waynesburg (9-5-1, 5-3-1 PAC) had seven corner kicks while Grove City recorded four corners.
