GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team improved to 16-8 overall Saturday afternoon by earning a 25-18, 25-22, 25-9 win over visiting Franciscan in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Senior
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) paced Grove City with 12 kills on only 24 attacks, good for a .500 hitting percentage. Freshmen
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and
Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) both posted seven kills for the Wolverines.
Junior setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) tallied 16 assists while sophomore setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) added 15 assists.Â
Freshman libero
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) led Grove City's defense with 21 digs. Senior
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) posted 13 digs and classmate
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) contributed 11 digs. Standford and junior
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) each had two blocks.Â
Grove City (2-3 PAC) will visit Saint Vincent at 7 p.m. in conference play.
