BETHANY, W.Va. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team visited longtime Presidents' Athletic Conference nemesis Bethany Saturday evening. Each team recorded 17 total shots and seven shots on goal but Bethany generated a goal in each half to secure a 2-0 home win over the Wolverines at Bison Stadium.
Bethany took a 1-0 lead at 35:43 when Sebastian Arrocain scored an unassisted goal. Arrocain then added a second goal at 51:09.
Grove City (4-5-5, 3-3-1 PAC) held an 8-7 edge in shots in the first half. Bethany outshot Grove City over the final 45 minutes, 10-9.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Teddy Almeter (Monroeville, Pa./Serra) stopped five shots for the Wolverines. Grove City held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Grove City will visit conference foe Waynesburg at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
