NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team dropped a 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13 decision Tuesday night at Westminster in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Memorial Field House.

Freshman libero Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) made her first start as Grove City's defensive specialist and set a single-match program record with 57 digs. The 57 digs are the most in a conference match since Waynesburg's Alyson Johnson had 59 digs September 28, 2021 against Grove City. Grove City's 144 total digs Tuesday night are the most for a league team since Waynesburg had 149 digs two years ago against the Wolverines.

Senior defensive specialist Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) recorded 20 digs while classmate Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Harnett Warriors) posted 17 digs. Junior setter Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) added 11 digs.

Offensively, freshman Alexis Standford (Walkersville, Md./New Life Christian) led Grove City (15-7, 1-2) with a career-high 19 kills. The 19 kills are the most by a Grove City player this season.

Senior Eloise Sutter (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) recorded 12 kills and senior Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) tallied 10 kills. The Wolverines also received nine kills from freshman Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and eight kills from junior Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge).

Grove City's 69 total kills are the most in a conference match this season. It's Grove City's highest team kill total since racking up 74 kills October 19, 2019 against Washington & Jefferson.

Kerr posted a career-high 33 assists while sophomore setter Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) recorded a career-best 26 assists. She also served a pair of aces while DeGraaf had two blocks.
