GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team closed the regular season home schedule Tuesday night with a 29-5 victory over Washington & Jefferson in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field. Sixteen men scored goals for the Wolverines, who won their 10th straight overall game.

Trenton Steele (Littleton, Colo./Highlands Ranch) paced Grove City (12-4, 6-0 PAC) with a season-high five goals. Senior midfielder

Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) all fired in three goals each.

Hougan led Grove City with four assists and finished with six points. Spicher assisted three goals. Blythe, Jones, La Forte and Petrolle all tallied two assists. Bishop, Carpenter, Snell, Steele and junior midfielder
David Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) each assisted one goal.
Evans won 15 of 16 faceoffs and had a team-leading 15 ground balls. Senior
Keith Torrillo (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) added eight ground balls. He won 7 of 10 faceoffs.
Blythe and Gladstone both caused two turnovers. In goal, junior
Jack Petit (Pensacola, Fla./West Florida High School of Advanced Technology) made a season-high 13 saves to earn the win.
Grove City led 10-1 after one quarter and held a 19-1 halftime time lead. The Wolverines outshot W&J, 63-30, and had a 38-18 edge in shots on goal. W&J had 19 turnovers and Grove City had 18 turnovers.
Grove City concludes the regular season Saturday at Westminster. A win will give Grove City the top seed in next week's conference tournament.
