GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Nine Grove City College women's lacrosse players scored goals Wednesday night to help lead the Wolverines to a 15-2 home victory over NCAA Division II member Ursuline (Ohio) in non-conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field. It is the first win in program history.

Wartman scored twice in the first quarter to help Grove City bolt to a 6-0 lead. Campbell, Dymski and Stoltzfus all scored in the second quarter as Grove City stretched its lead to 9-0 by halftime.Â

Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) all added assists for the Wolverines, who led 11-1 after three quarters.
Jackson led Grove City with seven ground balls while Stoltzfus recorded six ground balls. Nazigian added five ground balls and Martin picked up four ground balls. Jackson and Nazigian both caused a pair of turnovers. Nazigian secured five draw controls.
Freshman goalkeeper
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) earned the win by making three saves in the first half. Freshman
Ava Fletcher (Telford, Pa./Homeschooled) made three saves in the second half.
Grove City outshot Ursuline (0-1) 40-9, including a 33-8 edge in shots on goal. The Wolverines forced 31 turnovers and committed 16 turnovers.
The Wolverines will visit Medaille in non-conference play Saturday at 1 p.m.
