GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team completed a season sweep of Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Chatham by picking up a 63-51 home win Wednesday night over the Cougars (14-7, 8-6 PAC) in the Grove City College Arena.
Junior center
Nina Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) poured in 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting and junior guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) also fired in 14 points. Freshman forward
Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) joined the two juniors in double figures as Hannon tossed in 12 points.Â
Grove City (14-7, 11-4 PAC) led 27-23 at halftime and opened the third quarter with a 13-2 run. Cano sparked the run with a layup, which freshman guard
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) followed with a three-pointer. Hannon's three-pointer pushed the lead to 35-23.

Blaise Kilmartin (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) buried a jumper in the paint and freshman guard
Jaden Davinsizer (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) capped the run with a three-pointer.Â

Haley Hertzler (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) gave Grove City its largest lead, 50-29. The Wolverines led 52-32 after three periods.
Grove City shot 25 of 59 (42 percent) from the field while Chatham finished 21 of 67 (31 percent). Grove City out-rebounded Chatham, 43-40. Senior forward
Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) led the Wolveriens with 12 rebounds. Freshman center
Kiley Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio/Kings) added six rebounds.
Polczynski dished out six assists and Podkul had four assists. Podkul also recorded three steals. Each team had 17 turnovers.Â
Emily Durkee led Chatham with 13 points.Â
Grove City will host Thiel at 1 p.m. Saturday in conference play. The Wolverines will recognize Podkul prior to the game as part of Senior Day festivities.
