Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) and freshman attack
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) each recorded nine points Sunday afternoon to help lead the Grove City College men's lacrosse team to a 22-14 victory over 14th-ranked Colorado College in non-conference action at Rhodes College's Crain Field.
Gladstone fired in seven goals and added two assists while Hougan tallied six goals and assisted on three scores. Junior attack
James Petrolle (Damascus, Md./Damascus) scored four goals while senior midfielder
Michael La Forte (Waterford, Conn./Waterford) scored twice and added two assists.

Griffen Agawa (San Ramon, Calif./California) all added goals.
Gladstone and La Forte both scored twice in the first quarter to help Grove City take a 6-3 lead after 15 minutes. Hougan and Petrolle each scored two man-up goals for the Wolverines in the second quarter, helping Grove City extend its lead to 13-6 by halftime.
Colorado College cut the lead to 13-10 midway through the third quarter but Grove City countered by scoring three times in less than three minutes. Gladstone scored twice in a 75-second span and Hougan's unassisted goal with five minutes left in the quarter put Grove City up 16-10.
Evans won 16 of 26 faceoffs for the Wolverines and recorded a team-leading 10 ground balls. Junior goalie
Jack Petit (Pensacola, Fla./West Florida High School of Advanced Technology) and junior midfielder
David Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) both had four ground balls.
Senior long stick midfielder
Addison Bennett (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) caused three turnovers. Petit earned his second win in as many days by stopping nine shots.
Grove City outshot the Tigers, 53-35. Grove City had 20 turnovers while Colorado College had 14 turnovers. Grove City scored on 5 of 8 extra-man opportunities while Colorado College scored on its lone man-up situation.
Grove City is now 2-0 for the first time in program history. The Wolverines return to action Saturday, February 26 at Baldwin Wallace. That non-conference game will start at 1 p.m.
