GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Led by a career-high 21 points from senior forward
Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield), the Grove City College women's basketball rolled to a 95-32 win over visiting Franciscan in Presidents' Athletic Conference action Wednesday night at the Grove City College Arena.
Podkul went 10 for 12 from the field in helping lead the Wolverines (10-6, 7-3 PAC) to their third consecutive win. Junior guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) pumped in 19 points for Grove City and junior center
Nina Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) added 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Thirteen Grove City players scored and all 14 active Grove City players played at least 11 minutes. No player recorded more than 18 minutes played.
Grove City led 24-8 after one quarter, then used a 29-2 run to break open the game. The Wolverines led 53-10 at halftime and then pushed the lead to 80-19 after three periods.
Grove City shot 39 of 82 (48 percent) from the field for the game. Franciscan (0-13, 0-7 PAC) finished 13 of 52 (25 percent).
Podkul led Grove City with seven rebounds while freshman guard
Ashley Durig (Washington, Pa./Trinity) and freshman center
Kiley Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio/Kings) both had five rebounds. Grove City outrebounded the Barons, 56-33.Â

Haley Hertzler (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) doled out a career-high six assists and classmate
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) recorded five assists. Durig assisted four field goals while Kallock and Podkul each tallied three assists.
Kallock also had four steals while Podkul recorded three steals. Ingram and freshman
Hayley Fenchel (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) both blocked two shots. Grove City forced 29 Franciscan turnovers. The Wolverines turned over the ball 13 times.Â
Ilena Gonzales led Franciscan with nine points.
Grove City now owns sole possession of second place in the league after Wednesday night's action. The Wolverines will host Bethany at 1 p.m. Saturday. Bethany (10-5, 5-3 PAC) toppled league-leading W&J (12-4, 9-1 PAC) Wednesday night, 64-59.
