NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team dropped to 3-3 in Presidents' Athletic Conference Thursday night as the visiting Wolverines fell at Westminster, 71-65, at Memorial Field House.

Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) fired in 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting to help lead Grove City (6-6 overall) and junior guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) added 14 points.Â
Grove City trailed 29-24 at halftime but used a 10-2 run to surge ahead midway through the third quarter. Podkul sparked the run with a layup while freshman guard
Nevaeh Ewing (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) put Grove City ahead 34-33 with a three-pointer. On the Wolverines' next possession, freshman guard
Jaden Davinsizer (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) buried a three-pointer.Â
Podkul's transition layup with 4:44 left in the period closed the run. Westminster reclaimed the lead by the end of the quarter, 44-43, however.Â

Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) each collected nine rebounds, helping Grove City amass a 54-43 rebound edge. Freshman forward
Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) added eight rebounds.
Grove City shot 24 of 79 (30 percent) from the field. Westminster (9-5, 6-2 PAC) hit 21 of 55 (38 percent) attempts. Westminster had 18 turnovers while Grove City turned over the ball 15 times.
Polczynski recorded six assists and two steals for the Wolverines. Kallock and Podkul also had two thefts.
Natalie Murrio led Westminster with 33 points. Westminster led 19-16 after the first quarter.
Grove City will visit Waynesburg at 1 p.m. Saturday in conference play.
