GROVE CITY, Pa. -- A 22-2 run in the first half Tuesday night helped lift the Grove City College women's basketball team to a 75-53 victory over visiting Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Junior guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) fired in a game-high 15 points to help pace Grove City (7-5, 4-2 PAC) while freshman guard
Jaden Davinsizer (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) poured in 13 points. Freshman guard
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) added 10 points.
Polczynski sparked Grove City's run in the first quarter as her layup with 1:20 left cut Saint Vincent's lead to 11-9. Senior forward
Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) followed with a jumper on Grove City's next possession to forge the third and final tie of the game.
Grove City then scored the first 12 points of the second quarter. Davinsizer hit a pair of three-pointers during the stretch while Kallock added a three-point play.
The lead swelled to 33-13 in the final minute of the half as freshman guard
Ashley Durig (Washington, Pa./Trinity) scored in the paint and freshman forward
Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) followed with consecutive field goals. Grove City led 33-16 at halftime.
Durig buried a three-pointer with 1:29 left in the third quarter to give Grove City its largest lead of the night, 57-30. The Wolverines led 59-36 after 30 minutes.
Hannon and Polczynski both had five assists for Grove City while Durig dealt four assists. Podkul added three assists. Grove City recorded assists on 23 of its 29 field goals. Polczynski added three steals.

Nina Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) each collected seven rebounds to help Grove City post a 56-47 edge on the glass. Sophomore forward
Katie Baller (Lone Tree, Colo./Valor Christian) pulled down six rebounds.
Grove City shot 29 of 75 (39 percent) from the field while Saint Vincent finished 18 of 63 (29 percent). Grove City held the Bearcats (2-7, 1-4 PAC) to 5-for-30 (17 percent) shooting in the first half. Saint Vincent had 20 turnovers and Grove City turned over the ball 21 times.
Taylor Geer led Saint Vincent with 10 points.
Grove City will visit Presidents' Athletic Conference archrival Westminster at 6 p.m. Thursday in New Wilmington.
