PITTSBURGH -- Senior forward Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) tied a pair of career highs by recording 19 points and 13 rebounds Wednesday night as she helped lead the Grove City College women's basketball team to a 59-40 victory at Chatham in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Chatham Center.

Junior guard Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) added 13 points for the Wolverines (6-4, 3-1 PAC), who returned to action after a 26-day layoff.

Podkul and Kallock each scored 10 points in the first half to help Grove City take a 23-13 halftime lead. Chatham (8-3, 2-2 PAC) whittled the lead to 26-23 with six minutes left in the third quarter but Grove City broke open the game with a 13-3 run.

Freshman forward Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) sparked the run with a three-pointer. Freshman guard Haley Hertzler (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) and junior center Nina Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) followed with jumpers, pushing Grove City's lead to 33-24. Podkul scored consecutive field goals and Cano capped the quarter with a layup to give Grove City a 39-26 lead.
