GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grove City College volleyball team went 1-1 Saturday in the second day of action at the Calvin University Labor Day Tournament. Grove City closed the weekend with a 25-22, 25-11, 25-20 triumph over Kalamazoo. The Wolverines opened Saturday by dropping a 25-20, 21-25, 18-25, 25-12, 15-9 decision to Augsburg.
Junior
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) paced Grove City with eight kills against Kalamazoo and sophomore
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) added six kills. Freshman
Mya Lathem (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) served a career-best four aces while DeGraaf and freshman setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) both served two aces.Â
Kerr recorded 12 assists and fellow freshman
Katie Kenlein (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) distributed 10 assists.Â
Defensively, sophomore
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) paced Grove City with 14 digs and Keating added a dozen digs. Freshman
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) chalked up four blocks and sophomore
Katie Pry (Enon, Ohio/Greenon) added three blocks.Â
Keating and Donnelly both recorded double-digit kill totals against Augsburg. Keating led Grove City with 12 kills and Donnelly added 10 kills. DeGraaf contributed seven kills. Kenlein tallied 18 assists and Kerr assisted 14 kills.

Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Homeschooled) all had three blocks against Augsburg. Keating recorded a team-leading 17 digs. Lucas netted 15 digs and Lathem added 14 digs.
Grove City returns to action next Saturday with a home non-conference tri-match. Grove City will face Regent at 11 a.m. and then host La Roche at 3 p.m. in the historic Grove City College Arena.
