NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team moved to 3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by splitting a league tri-match Wednesday night at Westminster College's Memorial Field House. Grove City rallied for a 22-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 win over Geneva in Wednesday's opener. Westminster then took the nightcap, 25-22, 25-12, 25-16.
Junior
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) posted a match-high 14 kills in the opener against Geneva while sophomore
Eloise Augustine (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill Academy) recorded 10 kills on 19 attacks in her two sets of action.Â
Freshman
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) recorded eight kills and sophomore
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) tallied seven kills.Â
Freshman setter
Katie Kenlein (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) distributed 25 assists and freshman setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) contributed 14 assists. Kerr served three aces and Kenlein had two aces.Â
DeGraaf and Donnelly both chalked up a pair of blocks. Freshman libero
Mya Lathem (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) recorded a career-high 35 digs and Keating added 19 digs.Â
Donnelly and sophomore
Katie Pry (Enon, Ohio/Greenon) led Grove City (7-5, 3-1 PAC) with six kills each against Westminster. Kenlein tallied 11 assists and Kerr recorded eight assists.Â
Junior
Robyn Collier (Corona, Calif./Carnegie Riverside) posted a team-high three blocks in the nightcap while DeGraaf and Donnelly both had two blocks. Lathem led Grove City with 16 digs. Sophomore
Grace Kim (Sanford, N.C./Homeschooled) added a dozen digs.Â
Grove City will host Pitt-Greensburg at 7 p.m. Friday in non-conference action.
