GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 2-2 overall Wednesday night as visiting Carnegie Mellon (5-1) earned a 4-0 win over the Wolverines in non-conference play at Don Lyle Field. Carnegie Mellon scored twice in the first half and then added a pair of goals in the second half.
CMU took a 1-0 lead at 17:57 on a goal by Nikki Hasson. Alana Frederick doubled the lead at 28:10 with her fifth goal of the season. CMU pushed the lead to 3-0 at 59:35 when Cecelia Dieterich scored off an assist from Helena Spencer. Spencer then closed the scoring at the 88:33 mark.

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) recorded a season-high eight saves for Grove City. CMU owned a 19-4 edge in shots and a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.Â
Grove City will visit Wittenberg at 2 p.m. Saturday in non-conference play. The Wolverines will play six of their next seven matches on the road.
