CMU outlasts Grove City in opener

PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's tennis team opened the 2021 season Friday afternoon with an 8-1 setback at national powerhouse Carnegie Mellon.

Sophomore Ryne Talko (Cresson, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory for the Wolverines at No. 3 singles, accounting for the team point.

Grove City will open its home and Presidents' Athletic Conference schedules March 24 by hosting Bethany at Walters-Zbell Courts.
