GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team closed its 2021 home schedule Tuesday night with a 63-41 setback to Carnegie Mellon in non-conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Carnegie Mellon (4-2) took command of the game with a 22-4 run in the first half. The Tartans led 21-11 after one quarter and then extended the lead to 36-14 by halftime.

Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) and senior forward
Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) all added five points.
Podkul collected seven rebounds and Hannon had six rebounds. CMU held a 38-30 edge on the glass.
Grove City shot 16 of 51 (31 percent) from the field while Carnegie Mellon hit 25 of 55 (46 percent) attempts. CMU had 24 turnovers while Grove City turned over the ball 27 times.

Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and freshman forward
Blaise Kilmartin (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) all had two assists. Kallock and Kilmartin both had two steals.
Catherine Or led CMU with 20 points.
Grove City (4-3) returns to action December 16-17 with a pair of games against Eureka (Ill.) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
