GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's basketball team dropped a 62-52 decision Wednesday night to visiting Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Grove City (3-3, 0-2 PAC) led 28-24 at halftime and then extended the lead to 39-31 when junior forward
Elijah White (Zelienople, Pa./Portersville Christian) scored a putback and freshman guard
Jonah Bock (Erie, Pa./McDowell) buried a three-pointer with 15:18 left.
Waynesburg took the lead by scoring 20 straight points, however, as Grove City went 11 minutes without a field goal. Bock ended the drough with a putback at the four-minute mark.

Ben Rose (Helena, Ala./Helena) each scored eight points for the Wolverines. White and sophomore forward
Sam Schudel (Stuttgart, Germany/Stuttgart) both added seven points.

Chase Yarberough (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) both had eight rebounds, helping Grove City attain a 51-39 edge on the glass. Schudel and junior
Joshua McCray (Jessup, Md./Ashville College, U.K.) each had six boards.
McCray also had four assists while Rose assisted three field goals. Rose also blocked two shots.
Grove City shot 21 of 65 (32 percent) from the field while Waynesburg finished 23 of 63 (37 percent) on field goals. Grove City went 9 for 36 (25 percent) in the second half.
Grove City turned over the ball 15 times and Waynesburg had seven turnovers. Matt Popeck led Waynesburg with 16 points.
Grove City will visit conference foe Bethany at 3 p.m. Saturday.
