STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's basketball team opened its Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule Wednesday night by rolling to an 87-48 road win over Franciscan at Finnegan Field House.
Junior guard
Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) fired in a career-high 19 points to lead the Wolverines (2-1, 1-0 PAC) and sophomore forward
Kat Goetz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) added 15 points. Freshmen
Jaden Davinsizer (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley),
Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and
Haley Hertzler (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) all tossed in eight points.
Sixteen players saw action for Grove City, with 13 breaking into the scoring column. No Grove City player logged more than 18 minutes.
Defensively, Grove City forced 30 Franciscan turnovers. The Wolverines also held Franciscan to 28 percent (18 of 64) shooting from the field for the game. Grove City limited Franciscan to 8-for-32 (25 percent) shooting in the first half as Grove City led 43-21 at the intermission.

Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) each secured five rebounds for Grove City. The Wolverines held a 54-38 edge on the glass.

Allison Podkul (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomore guard
Abby Glass (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) all recorded four assists. Hannon added three assists.
Grove City drained 33 of 73 (45 percent) field goal attempts. The Wolverines turned over the ball 21 times. Grove City went 17 for 18 at the foul line while Franciscan sank 10 of 24 free throws. Grove City led 24-10 after one quarter and held a 71-36 lead after 30 minutes.
The Wolverines will visit Houghton at 2 p.m. Saturday in non-conference action.
