GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team improved to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by earning a 9-0 home win Friday afternoon over Thiel at Walters-Zbell Courts.
Grove City swept the three doubles matches and then posted five straight-set wins in singles play. Freshman
Emily Ivory (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars) pulled out a three-set win at first singles.
Prior to the match, Grove City honored seniors
Sydney Adams (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and
Lillian Jeynes (Traverse City, Mich./Traverse City). Adams and Jeynes each earned two victories Friday.
The Wolverines close the fall regular season next Wednesday at Washington & Jefferson. That conference match will begin at 6 p.m. in Washington, Pa.
