PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-15, 22-25, 18-25, 25-21, 19-17 decision Wednesday night to host Chatham in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Chatham Center. The setback ends Grove City's five-match win streak.
Junior
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) paced the Wolverines (12-6, 5-2 PAC) with 12 kills and sophomore
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) posted 10 kills. Junior
Robyn Collier (Corona, Calif./Carnegie Riverside) chipped in seven kills.
Freshman setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) distributed 19 assists and freshman
Katie Kenlein (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) tallied 10 assists. Sophomore libero
Gabby Lucas (Butler, Pa./Butler) served four aces and Kerr added two aces.
Freshman
Mya Lathem (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) led Grove City's defense with 21 digs and Lucas chalked up 19 digs. Keating totaled 18 digs and Kenlein finished with 17 digs. Collier, DeGraaf and freshman
Audrey Donnelly (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) all had two blocks.
Grove City returns to action Saturday afternoon with a conference tri-match in Greenville. The Wolverines face Thiel at noon, followed by a 2 p.m. match against Washington & Jefferson.
