GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 decision to visiting Thiel in Presidents' Athletic Conference action Thursday night at the Grove City College Arena. The setback snaps Grove City's five-match win streak.
Sophomores
Eloise Augustine (West Chester, Ohio/Mars Hill) and
Anna DeGraaf (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) each posted a team-high seven kills for Grove City (17-8, 10-4 PAC). Senior
Carrie Dill (Mount Pleasant, Ohio/Buckeye Local) added six kills.
Freshman setter
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) recorded 18 assists while fellow freshman
Katie Kenlein (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) tallied eight assists.
DeGraaf led the defense with five total blocks. Augustine and sophomore
Alexis Kilmartin (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) both had three blocks.Â
Junior
Faith Keating (Troy, Mich./Troy) recorded a team-leading 17 digs. Augustine collected 13 digs, freshman
Mya Lathem (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) had 11 digs and Kerr tallied 10 digs.Â
Grove City will visit conference foe Bethany at 1 p.m. Saturday.
