GROVE CITY, Pa. -- 
Natalie Merrick (Cranberry Township, Pa./Eden Christian) picked a great time to score her first collegiate goal.
Saturday afternoon, the freshman midfielder broke a scoreless tie 7:13 into overtime Saturday afternoon to give the Grove City College women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Chatham in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Don Lyle Field. 
Merrick blasted a shot into the upper left corner after receiving an assist from sophomore midfielder 
Megan Mathes (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle).
Grove City outshot Chatham 9-3 in the second half and overtime. For the match, Grove City held a 17-11 edge in shots. Grove City had 12 shots on goal while Chatham put 5 shots on goal. Each team had seven corner kicks.
Freshman goalkeeper 
Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) made five saves to earn the shutout for Grove City. It is her third shutout of the season. 
Grove City (7-7, 4-2 PAC) will visit conference foe Franciscan at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
