Box Score DALLAS, Texas -- The Grove City College women's soccer team concluded its weekend trip to the University of Texas-Dallas by earning a 2-1 victory over North Central (Ill.) in a non-conference neutral site match at the UTD Soccer Field.

Following a scoreless first half, Grove City (1-1) broke through with a pair of goals in a six-minute span. Senior midfielder Katherine Kouzelos (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) scored at 59:56 after receiving a cross from senior midfielder Elena Guerra (Arlington, Texas/Nolan Catholic). 

The Wolverines quickly doubled the lead at 65:57 when sophomore midfielder Ruby Mattson (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) scored her first goal of the season. Senior forward Lacy Harkrader (Mineral, Va./Louisa County) assisted Mattson's goal.

North Central cut the lead to 2-1 at 85:36 when Allyson Viederies scored from the goal box. 

Grove City owned a 16-8 edge in shots, including a 10-1 advantage in the first half. North Central did not put a shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Trishae Winters (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) earned the win in goal.

Grove City will open its home schedule next Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. non-conference match against Hiram.
