GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team improved to 10-4 overall Tuesday afternoon by pulling out a 1-0 overtime home victory over perennial regional power Denison (5-5-4) at College Field.

Elena Guerra (Arlington, Texas/Nolan Catholic) broke a scoreless tie at 95:35 when she booted a deflection into the net for her fourth goal of the season. A shot by junior defender
Krista Heckman (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) deflected off a Denison defender to Guerra, who scored her first collegiate game-winning goal.
Grove City held a 16-11 advantage in shots, including a 3-0 margin in overtime. Grove City had four corner kicks while Denison had three corners.Â

Trishae Winters (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) recorded her fourth shutout of the season by making six saves.
Tuesday's match marked the first-ever meeting between the programs. Denison has qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in each of the last two seasons.
Grove City will visit Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Thiel Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
