Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team improved to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by rolling to a 9-1 win Saturday afternoon over visiting Bethany on Senior Day at College Field.
Eight different Grove City players scored in Saturday's win, led by a two-goal effort from sophomore midfielder

Lacy Harkrader (Mineral, Va./Louisa County), sophomore
Merry Higginbotham (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County), senior
Lindsay Hutton (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown), sophomore
Delaney Scott (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park), sophomore
Brooke Thomas (Hummelstown, Pa./King Philip, Mass.) and senior
Megan Van Kirk (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) all scored once.
Grove City charged out to a 4-0 lead in the first 16 minutes. Mattson opened the scoring at 6:09 when she knocked the rebound of her own shot into the net. The lead grew to 2-0 at 10:30 when Hutton headed in a corner kick from junior defender

Harkrader scored an unassisted goal at 13:13 while Mattson added her second goal at 15:14. Van Kirk scored Grove City's fifth goal at 28:01 when she blasted in a free kick from 25 yards away. Burke closed the first-half scoring at 41:08 after receiving an assist from sophomore
Katie Stonkus (Landenberg, Pa./Wilmington Christian).
Bethany broke through at 57:15 on a goal by Lindsey Cornish. However, the Wolverines added three more goals over a 13-minute span. Thomas scored from the left wing at 68:12 while Scott scored off a corner kick at 79:12. Stonkus and sophomore
Hannah Bernstein (Harrisburg, Pa./Mount Calvary Christian) both recorded assists on Scott's score.
Higginbotham scored the final goal at 81:01.
Grove CIty owned a 20-2 edge in shots, along with an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper
Trishae Winters (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) made one save in recording her 26th career victory.
