A native of Girard, Pa., Dan Pesta enters his eighth season as a member of the Grove City coaching staff. He is the longest-tenured coach on staff. After coaching Grove City’s wide receivers and tight ends in 2014, Pesta prepares for his seventh season as Grove City’s defensive line coach.
Over the last two seasons, Pesta has helped Grove City to a 17-5 overall record, including a pair of ECAC James Lynah Bowl victories. The Wolverines tied the program record with nine wins in 2019. Throughout that historic 2019 season, Pesta worked with a youthful defensive line that emerged as the season progressed.
In 2017, Pesta helped defensive end Jacob Armbrecht earn All-PAC honors after ranking among the conference leaders in sacks and tackles for loss.Â
Pesta played defensive tackle for Grove City from 2007 to 2010 and helped the Wolverines lead the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in total defense as a senior.
During that 2010 season, Pesta played in all 10 games and ranked fifth among the team’s defensive linemen in tackles for loss.Â
Pesta graduated from Grove City in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in political science while also minoring in communication studies.
