A 1987 Grove City College graduate, Brian Herrick is in his fourth season as an assistant football coach. He will again work with Grove City's cornerbacks in 2026.
Herrick has helped Grove City earn two Presidents' Athletic Conference titles and three trips to the NCAA Division III playoffs since returning to the College.Â
Cornerback Noah Wheeler earned D3football.com All-America and All-Region honors in 2025. Grove City again led the conference with 24 interceptions, including four touchdown returns.Â
In 2023, cornerback Gabe Dunlap earned All-Region as the Wolverines went 10-0 and captured the Presidents’ Athletic Conference title.
The next season, Boden Davidson earned All-Region as the Wolverines returned to the Division III playoffs.
Herrick returned to Grove City after a 35-year coaching and teaching career at nearby Greenville High School. He spent 16 years as head football coach at Greenville, earning 100 wins at the helm.Â
Herrick started at flanker for the Grove City football team and excelled as a middle distance runner for the Wolverine track and field team from 1983 to 1987. He graduated as the school record-holder in both the 800 and 1500 meters. Herrick earned the College’s 1986-87 Sportsman of the Year award.
