GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team improved to 3-0-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by pulling out a 2-1 home win Saturday afternoon over Waynesburg (3-1 PAC) at Don Lyle Field.
Grove City (6-1-2) broke a 1-1 tie 68 seconds into the second half when junior forward
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) scored her fifth goal of the season. Freshman defender
Taylor Leary (Warren, N.J./Timothy Christian) assisted White's go-ahead goal.
Grove City opened the scoring at 10:40 as sophomore forward
Emily Horst (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) scored her sixth goal of the season. White assisted Horst's goal.Â
Waynesburg (5-4 overall) tied the match eight minutes later when Kennedy Prestidge scored her second goal of the season.Â
Grove City outshot Waynesburg, 26-9, including an 11-4 edge in shots on goal. The Wolverines had seven corner kicks while Waynesburg netted four corners.Â

Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) made three saves to earn the victory.
With Saturday's match being the Wolverines' final weekend home match of the regular season, Grove City honored its eight seniors prior to the match: Mills, midfielder
