GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College women's golf team looks to contend for the Presidents' Athletic Conference crown in the 2026-27 season.
An experienced core of seven returning players will lead the way this fall for veteran head coach
Brad Isles.
Senior
Lauren Kardos (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) will be relied on again as a result of her consistent play during her three years with the Grove City program. Last year, Kardos secured All-PAC Second Team honors for the second straight season after placing seventh at the PAC Championships. She also earned medalist at the Thiel Fall Invitational and captured second place at the Grove City Fall Invitational by shooting a 75.
Alongside Kardos, sophomore
Emily Burling (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) excelled at the top of the lineup last season. Burling will be with the program for her first full season this year after joining the team for the spring portion of the schedule last year.
She earned medalist honors at the Grove City Spring Invitational and at the weather shortened Allegheny Spring Invitational. Burling also posted consecutive rounds of 77 at the PAC Spring Championships to take second place.
Senior
Madylin Galbreath (Ellwood City, Pa./Ellwood City) will contend for a full-time lineup spot again this season. A three-year letterwinner, Galbreath saw action in five events last year.
Junior
Gabby Kinneer (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) has also been a staple of the Wolverine lineup. Kinneer took 18th at the PAC Fall Championships last year and posted a season-best 15
th place finish at the Grove City Fall Invitational.
Fellow juniors
Sydney Goettel (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) and
Alyssa Shaw (Carlisle, Pa./West Shore Christian) will also fight for lineup spots this fall. Goettel recorded season-best 18
th place finishes at the Youngstown State University Kickoff and Franciscan Fall Invitational in 2025-26.
Shaw competed in five events last year as a sophomore.
Sophomore
Mackenzie Boley (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) will be in contention for a lineup spot this fall after seeing action in six events last season.
Newcomer
Kailey Burton (Plum, Pa./Plum) is the lone freshman on the roster for this season and will challenge for a lineup spot this fall.
Grove City will open its season Saturday, August 29 at the Westminster Invitational held at Avalon Field Club. Teams will start teeing off at 12:30 p.m.
