GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team closed the 2026 season Tuesday night by dropping a 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 15-9 decision to visiting Hiram at the Grove City College Arena in the quarterfinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.
Fifth-seeded Hiram advances to face top-seeded Thiel in Thursday's semifinal round.
Senior
Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) paced fourth-seeded Grove City (12-16) with 13 kills while junior
Andrew Kessler (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) posted 10 kills. Freshman
Evan DiMalanta (Medina, Ohio/Highland) contributed nine kills and junior
Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) added eight kills.
Junior setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) recorded 42 assists.
Malcolm also led Grove City's defense with five blocks. Fair and Kessler both chalked up three blocks. Senior
Derrick Lambert (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) collected a team-leading 12 digs. Junior
Hayden McCreadie (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and sophomore
Keith Otto (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) each finished with 11 digs.
Lambert, Malcolm and McCreadie will graduate from the program. The 2026 season marked Grove City's second campaign at the varsity level.
