HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team earned third place Saturday at the 14-team Susquehanna Invitational, held at Susquehanna Valley Country Club. Grove City finished the tournament with a team score of 351. Host Susquehanna won the event with a 344 team score while Wooster posted a 346 to take second.
Freshman
Emily Burling (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) led Grove City by taking second place overall. Burling fired a 78 on the par 70 course. Junior
Lauren Kardos (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) earned seventh place by shooting an 84 while senior Hailey Muñoz (Sparta, N.J./Morris Catholic) finished 12th with an 89.
Sophomore
Gabrielle Kinneer (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) came in 35th place after shooting 100. Senior
Rebekah Gaehring (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) rounded out the lineup by shooting a 117. She finished 58th.
Susquehanna's Cailyn Schall earned medalist by carding a 76. The tournament featured 71 competitors.
Grove City will compete in the Washington & Jefferson Rossin Invitational this Monday at Southpointe.
