PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's basketball team closed the 2025-26 season Tuesday night with a 69-60 setback at Chatham in the quarterfinal round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament. Grove City led 33-26 at halftime but Chatham rallied for the victory and a trip to Thursday night's semifinal round.
Senior guard
Kyle Randle (Willowick, Ohio/Eastlake North) and junior center
Austin Johncour (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) both posted 15 points for Grove City (11-15) while senior forward
Mike Christenson (Oakton, Va./Trinity) added 12 points.
Grove City led 24-22 with five minutes left in the first half and then extended the lead with a 7-0 run. Freshman guard
Kellen Howard (Clarksville, Tenn./Clarksville) sparked the run with a fast-break layup while Johncour added consecutive field goals after a Randle jumper.
Chatham pulled ahead in the second half but a Johncour foul shot with 1:39 trimmed the margin to 59-58. Grove City did not score from the field for the duration of the game, however.
Grove City went 8 of 28 (29 percent) from the field in the second half. Overall, the Wolverines finished 21 of 58 (36 percent) from the floor. Chatham shot 41 percent (26 of 63) in the game.
Junior forward
Caleb Haller (Delaware, Ohio/Marion Hawks) pulled in a team-leading 11 rebounds for Grove City, helping the Wolverines attain a 44-38 margin on the glass. Johncour grabbed nine reboundsd and Christenson collected eight rebounds.
Randle assisted three field goals. Grove City finished the game with 19 turnovers. Chatham (18-7) committed 14 turnovers.
Diaun Pinkett led Chatham with 16 points.
Christenson concludes his career with 1,302 points. That ranks sixth in program history. His 505 points this year are the No. 6 mark on Grove City's single-season leaderboard. He is the fifth man in program history to score 500 or more points in a season. Randle finished with 413 points this year, becoming the 20th player in program history to surpass the 400-point mark in one season.

Christian Suceveanu (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Loyola) will graduate from the program.
Chatham will visit Westminster in Thursday night's semifinals. Westminster bounced Saint Vincent in the quarterfinal round Tuesday night, 80-76.
